About Us

Maelstrom was originally set up in 1987 in the town of Barrow-in-Furness as a Jeans store evolving over the years into a high street value-led fashion retailer catering for both men and women, establishing itself as Cumbria's leading independent Jeanswear and fashion store.

The founders, Michael and Debbie Elliot were fiercely proud to still be a family-run business at the Mighty Man shop in Carlisle and having now handed over the reins of their successful internet business to us, we aim to continue that family tradition and offer you the same level of service you have become used to.

We hope to extend the range we offer and will still work extensivley with leading brands such as KAM & Duke to ensure a selection that is both highly fashionable and competitively priced. We offer jeans up to 70" waist and up to 38" inside leg as well as clothing from 2XL to 8XL.
